Affiliate QiH Group has unveiled strategic changes within the UK team, increasing its workforce by adding two new members and promoting Daryl Leagas to the position of marketing communications director.

Daryl Leagas, who has been part of the company since 2015, commencing as head of creative and later ascending to design director in 2021, has recently assumed the role of marketing communications director.

In July 2023, Andrea Talreja, Head of HR at QiH Group, spoke about the challenges of recruiting top talent in the competitive landscape of talent acquisition. She mentioned that the specific focus is on expertise in paid media, a skill set in high demand with significant competition for specialists in this field.

Talreja expressed that the shortage of performance marketing specialists within the marketplace stands out as a significant obstacle, not limited to affiliates but extending to various industries where paid media skills are prized.

Leagas's promotion aims to improve the company’s brand portfolio over the next 12 to 18 months. This strategic initiative encompasses a keen focus on its 12 Tau Marketing Services operator brands, its six Digital Adventure affiliate websites and the overarching QiH Group identity.

Regarding the new hires, the first addition to the team is Richard Morton, who has taken up the position of brand designer. Morton brings with him experience in the gaming industry, having held various roles at Betway for nearly three years, slots culminating in his most recent role as the lead designer at sports betting consultancy Editech.

The second new hire is Sharon Joy, who has assumed the role of head of partnerships. Joy's most recent role was that of a commercial manager at Tag Media, where she was subsequently promoted from affiliate manager. Her previous experience includes working at Kushinda, a marketing firm specialising in collaboration with iGaming companies.

QiH Group's CEO, Jamie Walters, discussed his satisfaction in securing the services of Sharon, highlighting the importance of her role in fortifying and expanding partnerships, particularly with operators in both the UK and the US.

In addition to her appointment, Walters highlighted the company's recent backend overhaul and its renewed focus on enhancing the front end, with an emphasis on enhancing user experiences and introducing fresh brand identities.

Joy commented on the appointment, saying: “I am excited to be joining a company that is growing as fast as QiH Group and I look forward to being part of driving this further forward.

"Key things that attracted me to the role were QiH’s strong relationships with existing clients, the opportunity to be part of its expansion into new markets, including those in the US and the chance to work with such a data-focused and experienced team.”
